Toronto York Spadina Subway Extension

Artists: Jason Bruges Studio, Panya Clark Espinal, Bruce McLean, David Pearl, Paul Raff, Realities United
Client: Toronto Transit Commission

The Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension is a $2.6 billion project, including the construction of 6 subway stations.

Artists for the $3 million art programme were procured through an international artists call. Working directly with the architectural design teams, artists created integrated works of art for each station varying from more conventional material expressions to interactive lighting schemes.
